Joan Baez - Life Peace (2007)

This is a very worthwhile DVD albeit a bit on the short side. It is good to see vintage Joan Baez from 1969 and 1972,also to see the late Mimi Farina as well. Having seen Joan recently and hearing her sing 'Mary Hamilton ' (the first time she has sung it in a concert I have attended) it was lovely to see a very early video of her singing it at Newport. She also sings my favourite song ' Joe Hill ' and also a song about Mimi called 'Sir Galahad'. I noted she mentioned her then husband David Harris (her 'bump ' is now the drummer in her band) and I have now ordered a DVD of a documentary on Joan due out next month and in it David Harris is interviewed so I am looking forward to watching that. Joan has been a consistant singer,writer and pacifist all her life and it is always a pleasure to see and hear her perform. Long may she tour and continue to make albums.
