This documentary captures the overflowing energy and activity of one today's greatest composers, Philip Glass, and allows us to follow him from New York to London and from Paris to Boston. He speaks about his beginnings, his moving to Paris for two years of intensive study with Nadia Boulanger, his meeting with Indian musician Ravi Shankar and director Robert Wilson, who had a deep influence on his career. The film also shows him at work on the last details of his opera The Sound of a Voice, directed by Robert Woodruff and conducted by Alan Johnson.

More information available from the Philip Glass web site.

Thank you for the hard work bringing us this :-) It sounds very interesting. I loved Mishima's music.

Thanks for your effort. But I'm sorry to say that combining the files fails on a CRC error

@w8watch

I forgot to mention that you need to rename the RAR files. Before extracting, first rename the files as "glass1", "glass2", "glass3", etc. It doesn't have to be "glass". You can name the files differently as long as ALL the files have the same name with a number attribute at the end.

However, if there is another problem that I'm not aware of and the CRC error is due to file corruption, note that all RAR files come with 3% recovery record. This allows you to repair the RAR archive instead of having to redownload it again. To repair the corrupted archive, press Alt+R or Repair Archive in the Tools menu (if you use WinRAR).

Zap. Delete. I hate double posts!

Sorry, but part 8 has an inrepairable CRC error DESPITE the renaming procedure.

No chance to put the 8 archives together.

I even downloaded part 8 four times, but everytime the same CRC error message.

Parts 4 and 6 have no recovery record, and part 4 looks corrupted. Please repost.

Okay folks, new files have been uploaded from the ground up and are now available for download. Moreover, many additional mirrors have also been added for convenience. It should be a smooth sailing but let me know if you still run into any trouble.
Posted By: w8watch Date: 04 Oct 2007 07:49:04
Well, it works, no problems this time. Thank you very much!

Be the force with you.

Great post peachfuzz, and Rapidshare. A rare delight. Get it... rar? OK. Sorry. But just great to see an amazing post without all those crappy Filesonic and other asshole servers people seem to insist on these days.

Worked fine for me! Thanks Peachfuzz! I agree with Powis--so often someone posts something really exciting, then you look at the links and realise it's impossible to download...
