Before the Cheech and Chong movies there were the top selling Cheech and Chong comedy albums. Richard “Cheech” Marin and Tommy Chong were the masters of pot head humor in the 1970’s. The duo released nine albums between 1971 and 1985, and their first four are considered classics. Their second album, “Big Bambu,” was the release that made them household names. It was such a gigantic hit that it sent fans back into record stores in search of the duo’s debut album as well. Released in 1972, it peaked at #2 on the Billboard Top Album charts and stayed in the Top 200 for a staggering 111 weeks.
Issued originally on Ode Records (catalog # 77014) in June 1972.
