Jennifer Lopez- On The Six (1999)

Jennifer Lopez's debut CD, "On the 6" is a nice mixture of R&B and Spanish music. This CD would be great for an R&B lover who wants something slightly different than the average R&B album.
J. Lo puts her listener in many moods throughout the album. She makes you feel good, she makes you feel sorrowful, she makes you smile, she makes you cry."If You Had My Love" was the first single from "On the 6". This song received lots of airtime on the radio and was a success.When she first came out with the single, many people were impressed by her acting and dancing, and now they were ready for her singing.Her fans really believe she is a great singer. Jennifer pays homage to her Latin roots and adds some songs sung totally in Spanish to her CD. "No Me Ames" is one of them. This is a duet she did with her current husband, Marc Anthony. The song is beautiful. It's a ballad and Jennifer shows her vocal range on this song. This song was also released but wasn't as big a success as her first single, probably because many didn't understand the lyrics. This CD has its share of up-tempo songs like "Let's Get Loud" (written by Gloria Estefan), "Feelin' So Good", and "Waiting for Tonight". Jennifer also has her share of love songs on the CD which include "Talk About Us", "Should've Never" and of course, "No Me Ames". Jennifer did a great job of delivering her first CD. 1999 was definitely the best year for music. In that year, we saw the debut albums from Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera,and Jennifer Lopez.
