My PERSONAL comment

Ladies & Gentlemen,
I first heard Marcella Bella during 1974 when in Napoli, Italy as a 20 years old student, and just couldn't get enough of her music to listen to from that moment. I bought in 1975 my first LP of her while in Italy, "Metamorfosi", and another one in 45 rpm titled "E Quando". Her songs, "Nessuno Mai", "Io Domani" and "Prigioniera" played in my memory since those days of walking along the beaches and travelling with my motorcycle in summertime into my country (Greece). She always shall remind me also some unique moments and a warm nostalgic feeling inside me for all those years which never come back again, plus another strong feeling of a calling from Italy to go back again. But, now I become older & older and I really promised to myself and to my wife to visit the neighbor country once again the soonest possible and enjoy her smile and sweetness of Firenze, Rome, Napoli and more... Meanwhile I bought some CDs of her through the years from Amazon, but this excellent LP - and to my astonishment - it NEVER turned to a CD. Therefore, I decided to turn it myself to a WAV archive ripping the LP at my home.

I've spent a lot of time to make this LP turned to a CD (WAV, FLAC & MP3) so you can enjoy it today in lossless format and most important as priceless which will be posted in Avaxhome (simultaneously with my blog) for all of you who are in love with the most wonderful sounds and songs in Italy during 70's.

Thus, I'm sharing this fine music of Marcella Bella with all of you and mostly for the new generations of italians and greeks. Now I can enjoy even more of Marcella in my older years at my homeland or in my car when travelling having the Cd now playing Marcella's great performance of this LP.

I hope that my hard work it will be considered positively from the majority of Avaxhome audiophiles, and probably I will receive my reward of encouragement which is just a simple... "THANKS" !!

ANDREX

Biography (English)
Brother and sister Gianni and Marcella Bella made their recording industry debut together in the early ’70s with hit songs such as “Hai Ragione Tu” (1971), “Montagne Verdi” (1972), “Io Domani” (1973), and “Nessuno Mai” (1974). The duo was introduced to Italian audiences thanks in large part to Marcella’s performance at the very first Sanremo Festival, singing “Montagne Verdi.” The Bellas won the prestigious Gondola of Gold Award from the Mostra Internazionale di Venezia for the record “Nessuno Mai.” Collaborations with the acclaimed producer Mogol characterized Gianni and Marcella Bella’s careers throughout the ’80s, including productions such as GB1 (1983), Una Luce (1986), and Due Cuori Rossi di Vergogna (1988). Though Marcella took a number of years out of the spotlight to raise her three sons, she returned with the release of Passato e Presente, featuring the single “Fa Chic,” written by Giancarlo Bigazzi and Gianni. Both having maintained prosperous solo careers, the siblings combined their efforts again for the 2007 release Per Sempre, which won them a spot on national charts, marking over 30 years of success for the Sicilian pop icons.
