Born Taco Ockerse in Jakarta, Indonesia on July 21, 1955, he recorded "Ritz" in Germany in 1981; a year later, the song (originally popularized by Fred Astaire) hit the upper reaches of the U.S. pop charts, accompanied by a video depicting the singer decked out in a bow-tie-and-tails ensemble emblematic of the Depression-era movie musicals his image strived to emulate. Delicatessen was created in 2006 with the partnership of Beto Callage, a jazz lover and researcher, and Carlos Badia, a local musician, who discovered in the delicate voice of Ana Krüger the possibility to fusion jazz and bossa nova. They invited the musicians Mano Gomes (drums) and Nico Bueno (bass) to create the group. Delicatessen’s show has surprised and delighted many different audiences. This enchantment is the result of a perfect chemistry created between a singer of enormous talent and empathy and the public, but which is also valued by the arrangements of the group and inspired by the instrumental and harmonic richness of Brazilian music and jazz. The shows bring as a special guest Luiz Mauro Filho on the piano.

These were my "teen years" and I did not realize what good voices most of the singers had and how beautiful some of the songs were. These cds transport me back to "the good old days". I am surprised that I remember most of the songs. I really, really enjoy this music.

Two of a Kind is a 1983 romantic comedy film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. The original music score was composed by Patrick Williams. Five years after the smash-hit musical of Grease, Olivia and John Travolta teamed up again to make Two Of a Kind. The two had being looking for a script to do together for a year and with over 30 studied, it seemed their film together would never be made. Either one of them liked the plot but the other didn't or vice versa. However, when John read the script to Two Of A Kind he called up Olivia and said 'If you don't like this one, I don't think we'll ever find another movie to do together.' Olivia did, so Two Of A Kind was born.
