The Tiger Lillies are a three-piece band, formed in 1989 and based in London. They have toured worldwide and won acclaim with their opera Shockheaded Peter. Their surreal style has been described as dark, darkly humorous, strangely humorous, Brechtian, and gypsy cabaret. They are also notorious for singing controversial songs involving bestiality, prostitution and blasphemy. In 1999 their work was featured in the film Plunkett & Macleane. The Tiger Lillies were nominated for a Grammy award for their 2003 album The Gorey End, which was a collaboration of sorts with the writer and illustrator Edward Gorey and the Kronos Quartet. Their newest show, Cockatoo Prison, starts on 20 May 2010 at Cockatoo Island in Sydney. The show is based around songs about a group of prisoners, each of whom is introduced song-by-song. The band were chosen by Matt Groening to perform at the edition of the All Tomorrow's Parties festival he curated in May 2010 in Minehead, England.

Mostly Jamaican covers of American pop hits, it also includes the original version of "The Tide Is High" by the Paragons, later a huge international hit when it was covered by Blondie. The internationally active jazz band SOIL & “PIMP” SESSIONS have finally announced a new release, this time for a jazz cover album titled “SOIL & “PIMP” SESSIONS presents Stoned Pirates Radio.” The band wants to give the cover album the feel of a pirated radio show mix tape, quite a unique concept for a jazz release. The entire album won’t be singular songs, but one flowing piece that will be narrated by a the voice of a yet unnamed foreign DJ. It will have short skits by the members and even made up commercials in between the segments.

Los Pericos is a popular reggae and ska band founded by Alejandro Zárate in Argentina in 1986. In 2006 had exceeded two and a half million albums sold and reached nearly 2000 live performances.

This is a mostly upbeat album featuring such contemporary Inner Circle tracks as "Black Roses" and "Games People Play". There are several other tracks featured w/equally powerful rythms, including the opening track, Summer Jammin. It is an out of print album, but can fortunately be obtained online through some of Amazon's sellers, at very inexpensive costs (some less than $1.00)! I'd definitely recommend this album over the more commonly known Bad Boys album.
