Locomondo is a 7 member band based in Greece, which fused for the first time the Carribean reggae sound with typical Greek music elements giving a delightful result. The band leader, Markos Koumaris, a talented singer, songwriter and orchestrator with Jamaican roots, created some wonderful reggae versions of well known greek folk and rebetika songs like the famous Markos Vamvakaris' hasapiko "Fragkosyriani". The band has released 6 albums since 2004 and became very popular in Greece and abroad. This double album contains live recordings from many Locomondo's performances. Among them some "classics" like Marley's "Redemption Song" where Koumaris is a very pleasant surprise. Enjoy a really interesting album.
