| “ | Loose is the third album by Canadian singer-songwriter Nelly Furtado, released by Geffen Records June 20, 2006 in North America (see 2006 in music). Timbaland and his then-protégé Danja produced the bulk of the album, which incorporates influences of dance, R&B and hip hop. The album explores the theme of female sexuality and has been described as introspective or even sad in parts. Its influence comes from some of the themes expressed in the material of artists such as Janet Jackson. The album received criticism because of the sexual image Furtado adopted for the recording, with some feeling it was a ploy to sell more records. Further controversy rose over accusations of plagiarism on Timbalands part when recordings were leaked onto Youtube. The record was seen generally as critically and commercially successful. It reached high positions on charts across the world, and according to a November 2007 press release, it had sold more than seven million copies worldwide. The album was heavily promoted, released in several editions and was supported by the Get Loose Tour, which is the subject of the concert DVD Loose: The Concert. Eight singles were released from the album, including the U.S. number-one singles “Promiscuous” and “Say It Right”, which received Grammy Award nominations for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, respectively. it soundslike it's completely distorted. I checked out the attached EAC log file, so I find this baffling. I went to amazon and listened to their preview clip and it lacks the distortion on this rip. Guess the only way to test this is borrow the CD from a friend.

"it soundslike it's completely distorted" -- i dont understand what you mean, i am listening now (again) where is the distortion you said? and is it meaningfull one of the 13 songs get complety distorted and the others OKEY? what is the sound quality of amazon's preview clip, do you know? i listened both originaj cd and track#8_flac with foobar2000 (with the same sound level) and they are same. could you please show me where is "baffling" in EAC log file? i suggest you to buy the cd if you dont like what is here, (i can do this much), i am not a sound engineer. best regards.

I wasn't judging you or your post. I said thanks for the post. I also said I looked at the EAC log file. That's why I was baffled. It looked perfect to me.
I'm sure it's the way it was engineered. The rest of the album sounds perfect distortion-wise.

It's definitely the way it was mastered. Add to that I had my creative x-fi enabled. sorry for the bewilderment
As you can imagine i downloaded album covers from net and i dont have a scanner. i bought this album nearly 2 years ago in Turkey, and sure it is legal and original. again as you can think rerelease of the albums contains bonus material or in different releases also have bonuses like japan edition, usa edition bla bla bla...
If you buy the newest release of this cd and post it here so i can listen that bonus tracks also.
I will be appreciated then...
and final words "i dont understand why are the people so selfish, i have nothing to gain for posting it here, i am free user of rs, it takes lots of times to upload this kind of big files to rs, and sometimes gives errors and you start from the beginning to uploading. why dont you think twice before doing something."
