Stevie Wonder - Talking Book (1972) [Audio Fidelity Gold HDCD (2010)]
FLAC | CUE | EAC | Log | Scans | 280 MB | 44:29 | RS+HF
R & B / Funk / Rock / Soul

Released in 1972, Talking Book is Stevie's fifteenth album and the second of five consecutive albums referred to as his "classic period." It is considered by many to be his greatest and most influentual album. A perfect blend of funk, rock, soft-rock, soul, gospel and smooth jazz. The popular appeal of the record destroyed the myth that R&B artists were incapable of creating music that could be appreciated by rock audiences. Remastered in 2010 by Audio Fidelity's Kevin Gray for HDCD, this truly is the definitive version, sounding tighter, crisper, smoother and more dynamic than any previous issue.

"Talking Book" finds Stevie Wonder in complete control by writing, producing and performing most of the memorable emotion-packed, magical music himself. Wonder won three awards for "Talking Book" at the 1974 Grammys: Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "You Are the Sunshine of My Life," and both Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song for "Superstition".

This is one of only two audiophile Stevie Wonder discs currently in existence. The other is the excellent MFSL issue of Innervisions.

thank you so much for this...

i really hope songs in the key of life gets a similar upgrade one day

Thanks you so much! And I agree with sausage above, it's about time they do a proper release of Songs in the Key of Life, because that album is realy bad sounding on CD so far.

Anyway, at least we now have this and Innervisions. Better than nothing, eh?

thanks for this wonderful post!

there are some nice new release. Does anyone have Randy Newman - 12 songs on AFZ?
Posted By: exxonstar Date: 25 Jul 2010 02:54:39
Thanks for the uploads, but i'm getting crc errors on both the hotfile and rs links when I try and unpack. Re-downloaded with the same results.
Posted By: Hollewijn Date: 25 Jul 2010 02:55:16
Thx Lez for sharing, but I tried to d/l this from RS and it gave me a corrupt CRC part3.rar error. Even after I d/l that part again.
Can someone confirm this?

Edit: I see exxonstar has the same probs.

Parts 3 & 4 in Rapidshare are corrupt-downloaded them twice and tried to decode in both winrar and 7-zip with no luck.
Posted By: exxonstar Date: 25 Jul 2010 03:01:28
I can confirm that the hotfile links have similar errors.
Posted By: grounded Date: 25 Jul 2010 03:03:40
Parts 1 & 3 were corrupt on HF too, but I used winrar to repair them and they unpacked fine after that. So I suggest y'all try the same.
Posted By: rohitbhalla Date: 25 Jul 2010 03:56:31
both hotfile and rapidshare are corrupt. am trying RS again and we try to repair.
Posted By: LezDawson Date: 25 Jul 2010 08:01:01
@ everyone: Shit, sorry about the corrupt files - I'm using a new wireless router, so I'm guessing it's no coincidence.
I have now re-rar'd and re-upped all the links, and verified the parts as fine.

Please, Lez Dawson, re-upload part four! I'm on the floor, begging you! I busted a nut when I saw this; only to find out that part four was gone. Now I have blue balls.
Posted By: LezDawson Date: 19 Feb 2011 22:53:01
@ TheCaffeineFiend: sorry, I don't have the individual parts anymore. It's well-seeded all over the net on torrents, so you should grab it that way. Remember: delayed gratification is the best! I have also posted a torrent of the AF Fulfillingness' First Finale on Demonoid, so expect to see that going viral soon too.
