Jack Bruce - Willpower: A 20 Year Retrospective (1968-88)
rock | 1cd | Eac Rip | Flac + Cue + Log | HQ covers
Polydor 1989 | 560Mb

Willpower was really designed to be Jack Bruce's Crossroads -- it followed Clapton's monumental box by a year, had similar artwork, a similar approach that blended selections from throughout his various projects, and the same remastering/production team. Thing is, Bruce didn't have the commercial success of Clapton, nor did he have the same sizable following (although his fans were indeed devoted), and critics just sorta gave up paying attention around 1970, so there wasn't much of an audience for Willpower upon its release in 1989.

Steve Hackett - Live Legends (2004)
rock | DVD Video | DVD5 | ISO, Covers | 3100MB
MPEG-2 Video, PAL 4:3 (720:576), 25.00fps 5996kbps | DD 5.1 448kbps; DTS 5.1 754kbps | 50 min

Steve Hacketts reputation was founded on his outstanding guitar playing with Genesis covering much of the 1970s and encompassing Nursery Cryme through to Seconds Out. Having left the band in 1977, Steve built on the success of his earlier solo outing Voyage Of The Acolyte with a series of critically acclaimed albums that spawned a large worldwide following. Here we present Steve live in concert in Nottingham filmed in 1990 performing a selection of his best known solo work.

Simply Red - Picture Book
FLAC, EAC, LOG & CUE | Lossless Artwork | Size: 395 MB + Recovery Info
Label/Cat#: Elektra 960 452-2 | Germany 1985 (original version)
Genre: Pop Rock | Hoster: Filepost/Uploaded/Filefactory

The band finds a steady R&B groove reminiscent of '60s Stax house band the MG's, and, as with the MG's, it's all in the service of a big-voiced soul singer, in this case a British redhead. Features the U.S. number-one "Holding Back the Years" and the U.K. Top 20 "Money's Too Tight (To Mention)."

Poison - Open Up And Say... Ahh!
FLAC, EAC, LOG & CUE | Lossless Artwork | Size: 349 MB
Label/Cat#: Toshiba-EMI Ltd. TOCP-53132 | Country/Year: Japan 2000, Reissue
Genre: Rock | Hoster: Filepost/Uploaded/Filefactory

The ballad "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," Poison's only number one hit, and the Top Ten "Nothin' But a Good Time" became their most widely recognized signature songs; a cover of Loggins & Messina's "Your Mama Don't Dance" also hit the Top Ten, and the sometimes-overlooked "Fallen Angel," one of their best songs, got plenty of MTV airplay. But the agreeable raunch of album tracks like "Love on the Rocks," "Good Love," and "Look But You Can't Touch" helps make Open Up and Say...Ahh! Poison's best overall album.

Lynyrd Skynyrd - One More from the Road (1976) (Deluxe edition)
rock | 2cd | Eac Rip | Flac + Cue + Log | HQ covers
MCA 2002 | 1150Mb

Double live albums were commonplace during the '70s, even for bands that weren't particularly good in concert. As a travelin' band, Lynyrd Skynyrd made their fame and fortune by being good in concert, so it made sense that they released a double-live, entitled One More from the Road, in 1976, months after the release of their fourth album, Gimme Back My Bullets. That might have been rather quick for a live album -- only three years separated this record from the group's debut -- but it was enthusiastically embraced, entering the Top Ten (it would become one of their best-selling albums, as well).

BOC continued to develop their style of "intelligent heavy metal" on this record. This was the first BOC album to feature a contribution from punk poetess Patti Smith, who would go on to co-write several songs for the band and at one time dated Allen Lanier as well.
