Allmusic.com rating: 4.5 out of 5 Stars Review!
| “ | This is laid-back virtuosity — although Clapton and his band are never flashy, their playing is masterful and assured. That assurance and the album's eclectic material make Slowhand rank with 461 Ocean Boulevard as Eric Clapton's best albums. - Stephen Thomas Erlewine/AMG | ” |
Slowhand is an album by Eric Clapton, released in 1977. It contained three of his most popular singles, the bluesy "Cocaine", the ballad "Wonderful Tonight" and the country-flavoured #3 U.S. hit "Lay Down Sally", as well as other songs that became Clapton classics on their own like "The Core" and "Next Time You See Her". The album proved to be a big success and a step forward after the relative failure of Clapton's previous album, No Reason to Cry. It was both critically and commercially well received, reaching #2 on the Billboard Album Charts, only surpassed by the blockbuster Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. In 2003, the album was ranked number 325 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

to tell the true, i'm not a big fan BUT this albums is fantastic.
is his number 1 in my taste, in 96/24 is ultra and posted by you is priceless.
cheers my friend, God bless you and thanks so much! :-)
Thank you for this album in highres, it´s full of wonderful tunes and playing. John Martyn, the late writer (and orginal performer) of "May You Never" once mentioned, that he made more money from the royalities of Eric Clapton´s cover than within his own whole performing and recording career. God bless him, I hope not.
Anyway, this post is wonderful tonight and may you never stop bringing your efforts to an end.
