Bookends is the fourth album by Simon & Garfunkel, released April 3, 1968. It was produced by Paul Simon, Roy Halee and Art Garfunkel. Bookends was Simon & Garfunkel's concept album, with the first side following the views of age, while the second side contained "throw away" songs from The Graduate soundtrack. Bookends was a #1 hit on Billboard's (North America) Pop Albums chart, as well as in the UK. Four singles charted: "A Hazy Shade of Winter," "At the Zoo," "Fakin' It" and "Mrs. Robinson," which peaked at #13, #16 and #23 and #1, respectively.
The album begins softly, but takes a heavier turn with the second track, "Save the Life of My Child," which uses the sounds of a distorted synthesizer and is a noted departure from the softer sound that was the signature of the duo. "Save the Life of My Child" also features a sample from their single "The Sounds of Silence" ... which starts with a bass sound personally set up by Bob Moog himself. The album also features the single "Mrs. Robinson," which was famous for its inclusion in the film The Graduate. "Overs," "Punky's Dilemma," and "A Hazy Shade of Winter" were also written by Simon for The Graduate soundtrack, but the film's producers rejected them.

There is a Arwork folder included with this RAR archive. I just verified my copy of the archive (on my Macintosh). Check again or expand with 7Zip. WinRAR does weird stuff sometimes.

EDIT
This is DEFINITELY superior to the Columbia Legacy! What's even more amazing is, the CL issue is not just a remaster, but a reMIX - they went back to the original 8-track multi-track studio tape and those tracks were remixed by Vic Anesini (he stayed extremely faithful to the original mix, so no problems there). They also used minimal compression/limiting. So the CL one SHOULD be better... but it's not. It actually sounds more digital, more grainy.
By contrast, the MFSL issue is much smoother (really noticeable on the vocals) and more REAL sounding. It is also just as dynamic as the CL issue. So I recommend THIS version to everyone.
Edit: Hehe, funny, now I just noticed this isn't your rip. Anyhow, my question still stands about the scans.
I don't know if you done some clean up tricks with music, but it sounds as surround sound at my system. :)))
Thank you again!
is this correct password?
Maybe repost ?
Thanks for the upload :-)

Everyone: these files are perfect, no damage at all, nice scans included (I got mine from RS).
175.9 MB does equal 184462 KB in computer math. There are 1024 KB in MB. When dealing with computers the multiplier is always 1024 (1024 bytes in a kilobyte, 1024 kilobytes in a megabyte, etc, etc) except in one thing: line speed, there it's 1000.
1024 Bytes = 1 KB
1024 KB = 1 MB
1024 MB = 1 GB
1024 GB = 1 TB
1024 TB = 1 EB
@ aperasic - Download the file again. Yours got corrupted on download.
Anyway thanks for the great post (the artwork is amazing as well as music, I'm going to make a poster out of it)!!!
It sounds surround because they (MFSL) ADDED it (to make an "audiophile" sound) !
They did it on almost MFSL UDCD "2" (only 2, I don't now why).
Search on STEVE HOFFMAN forum, there's an interesting discussion..
