SHM-CD reissue featuring the 1995 edit of this release. The high quality SHM-CD (Super High Material CD) format features enhanced audio quality through the use of a special polycarbonate plastic. Using a process developed by JVC and Universal Music Japan discovered through the joint companies' research into LCD display manufacturing, SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the disc, allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head. SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players. This release is also part of the 200-album SHM-CD Series Campaign from Universal Music Japan.

Def Leppard was untouchable in the '80s. Over the course of four albums, the band established itself as one of the best and most popular hard rock/heavy metal groups of the decade, scoring a long list of hit singles. Vault compiles the biggest of those hits, as well as selections from their first album of the '90s, Adrenalize, and the outtakes collection Retro Active. Essentially, Def Leppard's legacy rests on two albums: 1983's Pyromania and 1987's Hysteria. On both records, the group created a sleek, shiny brand of hard rock powered by huge, catchy melodies and guitar hooks that owed more to Mott the Hoople and T. Rex than Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. It was a polished but potent sound, whether the band turned out rockers ("Photograph," "Rocket") or ballads ("Bringin' on the Heartbreak," "Love Bites"). Vault has all of the necessary items, from "Pour Some Sugar on Me" to "Rock of Ages." It's not a perfect collection -- it's not sequenced chronologically, it includes too much material from Adrenalize, and the new "When Love & Hate Collide" is simply average -- but that doesn't stop Vault from being a great greatest-hits collection. [Universal Japan's 2008 edition included two bonus tracks.]

yes yes, i need flac, i dont have any audio converter like dbpoweramp (freeware), so i couldnt get flac version, my audio system can play only flac, please please repost it in flac, (then maybe in ape for someone else).

I don't know why people complain. All you have to do is download foobar2000 to convert it to whatever format you like. That's what I do. That's the beauty of Lossless.

I agree Foobar2000 is all you need, it's freeware and will convert this is seconds, the cue sheet is there.

I guessed you dont know Turkish, but i was not sure telling you in English makes a difference. First of all, did you read the sentence of uploader "If many requests for FLAC are received, I will post a FLAC version (converted from this release)" and have you ever thought the meaning.

thx for sharing this one, i'm stick with this band since their very beginning, and where i'm living is hard to get jpn import cd, so thx again.
and i'm also using foobar, so no problem at all converting wavepack to other lossless o whatever audio format, then there again, my suggestion for using foobar.

Whatever codec you choose, if it's lossless, it's OK to me (and to everybody who knows something about audio codecs). That's why ONLY 2 guys requested a FLAC version !
