Genre: Rock, Classic Rock
George Harrison’s third studio album following the break-up of The Beatles was recorded in September and October 1974 and rushed to stores in time for a North American concert tour by Harrison and friends (Nov. 2 - Dec. 20, 1974). The album received decidedly mixed reviews but sold well, reaching #4 on the U.S. album charts. It features the hit singles “Dark Horse” and “Ding Dong, Ding Dong,” which reached #15 and #36 respectively.
The album is notable for showcasing Harrison’s acute laryngitis which ruined most of the tracks on the album, and marred the concerts on the North American tour (dubbed by fans and critics as the “Dark Hoarse” tour) in late 1974.
Strangely, “Dark Horse” and its follow-up, “Extra Texture” (the last album of new material issued on Apple Records by Harrison) are the only two albums in his rock music catalog not to be remastered and expanded by EMI.

You do know that flac is just a compressed wave file that can easily be uncompressed back to wave right?
Umm, so yeah there's more than one way to decompress a flac back to the wave format, the easiest is to use
flac front end.
Drag, drop, and press decode....wait for it to do it's thang for about a min or so and you got yourself a shiny new
wave file you can hug and play with until you find a new love interest.
Don't hate on the flac just unpack and enjoy. As long as the original rip was a good one, then you should end up with the
exact wave file image of the CD.
Same thing with those that complain about ape or wvpack or w/e, they all can be uncompressed back to wave and then
compressed into w/e format the user prefers or just left as is if you like using more HD space for no apparent good reason.
I'll never understand the complaining when it's a simple procedure that can even be accomplished in itunes too for most files, or
foobar or J River or blah blah blah.
Thank you very much for posting your latest George Harrison releases.
But I am a bit confused here: What excactly are the differences between the Japanese pressing, TOCP-65543 and the CD reissue on Capitol (CDP 7 98079 2)?
rg1960
So I say thanks again, for spending top Dollar to post the Japanese pressing.
Very much appreciated and very thoughful of you.
Any thanks for your comments on the sound, too.
Certainly I will not hear the difference.
rg1960
Flac is a perfect format and there is no reason to complain about that.
And I more likely think that there is an Audiochecker bug which detects some tracks as MPEGs.
