Carmen - The Gypsies (1975) & Widescreen (2007) [2CD, 2007]
EAC Rip | FLAC (image+.cue+log) CD1-325 mb, CD2-327 mb | MP3 CBR 320 kbps (LAME 3.93) CD1-110 mb, CD2-139 mb | Covers includes (CD 2)
Genre: Progressive Folk Rock | RAR 3% Rec. | Label: Angel Air Records (SJPCD225)

One of the more interesting bands of the 70's, Carmen's music could possibly be described as progressive flamenco rock - with a sound that was influenced by folk somewhat, but the delivery was much harder. Their sound is difficult to draw any comparisons to, because it IS so unique, but I suppose that a parallel could be drawn with Jethro Tull, Horslips, and other bands that fuse folk themes into the progressive rock idiom. Special double CD set which includes the original line ups last album: 1975's The Gypsies and an album which has occupied David for the past 10 years and is now released for the first time: Widescreen.

The artists on the CD are represented, also at that time for good tones there provided Birth Control from Berlin and Guru Guru from the Heidelberg area. They have become legends for us at least. On the CD are found beside the already mentioned groups also Witthüser & Westrup with wonderful ballads. A CD one is often and with pleasure hears. The music simply gives pleasure.

Big Sleep - Bluebell Wood (1971) [Reissue 2007]

Big Sleep were a Welsh band whose inflence was far beyond their sole album offering released in 1971. The band members (formerly with Eyes Of Blue) would all soon head for greater things in bands such as Gentle Giant, Man and Wild Turkey (formed by ex-Jethro Tull bassist Glenn Cornick) and Rick Wakman's band. An album that features many fine songs and styles, "Bluebell Wood", (originally released on the highly collectable Pagusus label), has been sought after by collectors for many years thanks to its influence and place in the history of British progressive rock and in the annals of Welsh rock. This release is sure to appeal to followers of Man and Gentle Giant in particular.

Wishbone Ash - First Light (1970) [Reissue 2007]
EAC Rip | FLAC (image+.cue+log) - 264 MB | MP3 CBR 320 kbps (LAME 3.93) - 100 MB | Covers includes
Genre: Progressive Rock | RAR 3% Rec. | Label: Talking Elephant Records (TECD108)

This collection of early recordings by the early-1970s British prog-rock legends Wishbone Ash contains original versions of "Lady Whiskey," "Blind Eye," and the extended opus "Handy." As evidenced here, in its earliest incarnation the band's twin-guitar attack combined the approach of such West Coast rockers as the Grateful Dead with the enthusiasm of the British blues boom, in addition to liberal doses of psychedelia. An added bonus is a vocal version of the instrumental "Alone," from the band's second album, Pilgrimage. First Light is a grand and fortunate find for Wishbone Ash fans.

Pangea - Invasori (1976) [Reissue 2007]
EAC Rip | FLAC (image+.cue+log) - 257 MB | MP3 CBR 320 kbps (LAME 3.93) - 125 MB | Covers includes
Genre: Progressive Rock | RAR 3% Rec. | Label: BTF (AMS 112 CD)

The reissue one of the most legendary italian prog albums ever! "Invasori" was originally released only in a few promo copies for the Philips label back in 1976 (and that LP is now a very expensive collectors' item), so that many italian prog fans didn't even know that this title was ever existing. "Invasori" is a beautiful and haunting progressive concept album divided in two suites in the classic italian style, with italian vocals, various moods and an overall spacey atmosphere with hints of Pink Floyd. This is an excellent and rare find!

The Web - Theraphosa Blondi (1970) [Reissue 2008]
EAC Rip | FLAC (image+.cue+log) - 290 MB | MP3 CBR 320 kbps (LAME 3.93) - 118 MB | Covers includes
Genre: Progressive Rock, Jazz-Rock | RAR 3% Rec. | Label: Esoteric Recordings (ECLEC2055)

The Web are perhaps best known for their Progressive rock classic "I Spider" an album of innovation that continues to draw comparisons with the work of Van Der Graaf Generator at that time. The Web began life as a jazz and soul influenced outfit, fronted by singer John L. Watson, enjoying Top Ten hit singles throughout Europe. By the time of Theraphosa Blondi the band underwent a metamorphosis, with their music taking on more Jazz and Progressive influences, resulting in an excellent album that is rightly seen as a precursor to both the album "I Spider" and the bands evolution into the group Samurai.

Nice - Here Come The Nice (The Immediate Anthology) (2000)
rock | 3cd | Eac Rip | Flac + Cue + Log | HQ covers
Sanctuary | 1450Mb

There have been so many reissues and recompilations of the music that the Nice did for Immediate Records that it's difficult even for people who worked on those reissues to tell some of them apart without a scorecard. However, this set stands out, not only for its comprehensive nature but also for its sound quality, which is exceptional.
