This Swedish obscurity recently reissued by APM is a real masterwork of symphonic prog with a few light fusionesque touches. Breezy, cheerful, and winsome, this band whips through complex dual-keyboard arrangements with ease.
Atlas from Malmö in southern Sweden, started in 1974. From 1977 to 1980 it had the lineup featured here. The LP "Bla Vardag" (Bellatrix BLP 705) was recorded in 1978 and was released in the spring of the folowing year.
This Swedish group featured: double-keyboards, guitars, bass and drums. Beautiful symphonic rock with a fusion slant. The music is largely instrumental. Lots of inspired passages with emphasis on guitar and dual keyboard interplay. A more common comparison is to instrumental Genesis and Yes. In any case, there's lots to like here.
