Return To Forever - Musicmagic | MP3 320Kb | 95.6Mb
These words i found at www.allmusic.com about the album are some of the most positive i saw around at the web. Looks like all who use some time to write about it, hate it. Not me. Always liked it very much. Im sure of that there are many of you here at AvaxHome also who like this. Or am i wrong?
Return to Forever was one of the most commercially and artistically successful jazz/rock bands of the '70s. Albums like Hymn of the Seventh Galaxy and Where Have I Known You Before are filled with the band's chemistry and deft mix of genres. This 1977 effort marks the departure of founding member, drummer Lenny White and guitarist Al DiMeola. White is replaced here with Gerry Brown. A five-piece horn section is added, which includes the returning Joe Farrell. Gayle Moran also is added as a vocalist and on keyboards. Those expecting a continuation of what the group was working on during the great Romantic Warrior will be disappointed. Musicmagic features none of the exciting and challenging playing that typified their best work. The first track, "The Musician," starts off strongly with a great intro then meanders, a trait that often marred Corea's best work of this era. "Hello Again," a duet with Clarke and Moran, is skilled but a little mawkish. The title track plays to this incarnation's strengths with the horn section providing punchy support as Corea has a harder-edged Fender Rhodes solo. Unfortunately, Musicmagic is more often than not filled with bombast and melodrama typified on "So Long Mickey Mouse" and "Do You Ever." The last track, the melodically compelling "The Endless Night," also has the vocals of Clarke and Moran blending particularly well on the song. Despite the best intentions, Musicmagic lacks the swagger and confidence of the group's best work.

This is the first time that I download this type of music but coming from the 9 lives friend it must be good, thanks for sharing buddy!
You look a little concerned, may it be that you are already missing alejx007 or just wondering where he might be?
Best regards and thanks again!
Give it an try, its worth it (the music, not the cat)
Missing who???
when it came out, I didn't buy it and didn't listen it - somehow I was influenced of the reviews I did read before in the magazines. :-)
OK, trusting on the uploaders name I give ít also a try. Hmmm ... on the other hand ... didn't same uploader also publish Celine Dion ... hmmmm ...
"its worth it (the music, not the cat)"
Hey, watch your words. Seems more YOU are NOT WORTH this cat :-;)
"Missing who???"
Didn't Gandallon even write his name??
OK, to make it easier for you:
- you called him: Bananasplittedbitchworkeronthebeachinafrika
- I would say: the_sometimes_pink_dressed_well_shaped_body
@ Gandallon
Alejx is fine. Just 12 hours since Serial and me last talked to him. All of us are a bit quiet since start of AvaxHome 3.0 - Most times it's me, sometimes Serial, and now it's Alejx. Took long enough until he reached that point :-)
The way AvaxHome 3.0 (or better: the first experimental version of) was suddenly started without any official information did leave big questionmarks rotating over some people's heads. Dealing with a new publication editor, which did not show up at all under some browsers, typing in URIs without knowing what an URI is and other "minor" problems drove some uploaders crazy. Missing all the handy features of old version 2.1 made the normal community "work" very difficult. For most people there are still rotating questionsmarks how it will go on. It is hard to get any real information.
OK, for this comment it will not be different :-) Somehow TDz's most quoted words "Be patient" is still the best fitting statement. Or to make his words a bit more transparent: What you currently see is NOT the final verson of AvaxHome 3.0
I think an answer to your question can be something with synergy to do.
Never modify something that works. the hole shit loses the balance.
I was playing music (MP3) all day for years. In the end i was tired of the lofi sound from the files and pc. Then i bought me an new stereo system. Very expensive and it sounds real good. But the problem i have now are that none of my many CDs are good enough for playing!!!
Think thats the problem with Avax at the time. We have to live with it, forget what was and get used to the new Avax. In Avax case something had to be done. Mayby there will build up an synergy effect again. Some of us leave, new ones come in :-)
Anyway, somebody who have been listening to the album? Bad? Good?
This was my fav LP from Chic and I had heard this vinyl till it have had only bad noise but music.
My best song from this : So Long Mickey Mouse
Thank u again for this share
"...But the problem i have now are that none of my many CDs are good enough for playing!!!"
I could have told you this earlier :-)))
Best solution: Make your own music. Remove the dust from your miniMoog or LesPaul or whatever you burried deep in your cave. But Remember Alejx's videoproduction and make at least an audio record of it so we all will have some ... eh ... fun :-)
"Think thats the problem with Avax at the time."
Nah, its much more complex.
"We have to live with it, forget what was and get used to the new Avax."
Nah. There will be some fine changes soon. As written above, what you currently see is NOT final.
"In Avax case something had to be done. Mayby there will build up an synergy effect again. Some of us leave, new ones come in :-)"
Did you noticed that I started again writing a few "normal" comments? You know what this means :-) Stay tuned.
"Anyway, somebody who have been listening to the album? Bad? Good?"
Sorry, no time so far.
So it was you who commented earlyer. Thought it was an ghostwriter :-)
I see i havent been polite and answered you. To your thanks i just say: your welcome (de nada)
"when it came out, I didn't buy it and didn't listen it - somehow I was influenced of the reviews I did read before in the magazines. :-)"
Im glad i not have been reading any rewievs on my albums before buying them :-)
"Hey, watch your words. Seems more YOU are NOT WORTH this cat :-;)"
Thats true.
"- you called him: Bananasplittedbitchworkeronthebeachinafrika
- I would say: the_sometimes_pink_dressed_well_shaped_body"
Why not say "Bananasplittedbitchworkeronthebeachinafrika" so i know whom we are talking about. Those short names like Alejx and so on just are so confusing.
"I could have told you this earlier :-)))" hehehe, know what CD you thinking at. But thats not true. I do not have any of hers CDs :-)
"Sorry, no time so far."
Why in hell do i work so much when you even not listen to the music :-)
Now im going to say some words to an who knows better......
@LastGepida
Hope those MP3 files can be an good enough replacement for your old and tired vinyl. Dont have any favorite song on that album myself. I just see the hole album as an long great song :-)
Hope you like "Romantic Warrior" also. Coming soon at an PC near you :-)
"Nah, its much more complex."
Yes i know. This words are from my view. I cant talk for others. Thats the complexity you talking about. I know there will come some changes, but meanwhile we are going to forget what was and use whats here now.
Well, now we all have to live with the fact that you still are here. Do even think there are one or two peoples around here who mayby think thats ok. Not sure but.. mayby :-))
Damn... my cat just dragged in an big rat. Looks hot, but not for long :-) Have to clean the floor. Just love cats.......
""I could have told you this earlier :-)))""
"hehehe, know what CD you thinking at. But thats not true. I do not have any of hers CDs :-)"
Fully wrong. My comment was related to your ears. I know that you hear the diffeence between real analog sound and downsampled 44 khz on CD.
"Why in hell do i work so much when you even not listen to the music :-)"
I'm very sure I worked harder the last days than you :-) I still have about 21 albums stored on my PMP I have to listen to in full.
"Yes i know. This words are from my view. I cant talk for others. Thats the complexity you talking about. I know there will come some changes, but meanwhile we are going to forget what was and use whats here now."
The complexity I mentioned does also include some technical facts I was not aware off. It's like most situations in your life. The more information you get, the better you understand what otherwise looks crazy.
"Well, now we all have to live with the fact that you still are here."
Ah, I see. April first :-)
"Do even think there are one or two peoples around here who mayby think thats ok. Not sure but.. mayby :-))
Did you finally read the song lyrics I posted for you last week? No matter, let me just remind you on these 3 lines:
There's blood spilled on the floor
everyone's staring at you, what for?
until you realize the blood is probably yours.
"Damn... my cat just dragged in an big rat. Looks hot, but not for long :-) Have to clean the floor. Just love cats......."
Guess no need to ask who won the fight :-) Hot rats for dinner, eh? Titties 'n' beer for dessert? Ooh, I better stop before it comes to discussing beerdeer sex.
Well, the rats are downand so the beers. Just titties left to rest my head on. Rip whatever you want, but dont rip up in the fact about CDs. Let me live in the illusion thats music what i hear :-)
CU tonite Yours Hotrateatingbeerdrunkdeer from north.........
"Stripped of your education and clothing, you are as primitive as neanderthal man"
But certainly still worth more than most Brits.
Guess who created Dubai (Out of oil wells) and all these emirates? Which country bankers are handling these sheiks' accounts?
All the ppl defending them are what Bush/Bliar voters are made of. They are the most envious of these riches and will be the first ones to kill, maim & torture for a few extra bucks.
So much for freedom & social consciousness.
I'm (almost) glad to see you there.
Would you care to explain how my comment could wind up on that effing thread?
Thank you
How could my comment end up showing on this F..G thread?
YOU ask me why YOU put that shit /del/del/del/del/del "words of wisdom" into Serial's publication???
In context with Serial I would suggest: Somme less beer :-;)
OK, more serious:
RTFBugtracker :-)
(Have a look about the bug I described about javascript on systems or browsers taking a bit more care for security.)
http://www.avaxhome.ws/news/avaxhome_30_bugtracker_v12.html
I'm just curious since I consider this place one of the safest in the web and it's kind of deceiving that this kind of people infiltrates down here.
I assume there's no harm done due to the anti-virus programs but it's not a good feeling to be "around" hackers.
hope the cat had a nice and hot meal, we shall see his expression in the next post > > > :p
AvaxHome is very safe compared to other similiar sites. There are reasos why uploaders are forced to upload pictures to the AvaxHome server instead of using links to somewhere else. :-) There are reasons why new publications are not going public without checking by a moderator. :-)
But of course there are limits. no moderator has the time to donload each published file to check it inside. So, as with ALL downloads you do on the intrnet, check them before you use them. OK, for mp3 files is no big risk. but if you download software you NEED to check yourself.
You also will learn very quick to have an eye on the publisher's name. Some names are well know to be very trustfull, other names are know to publish broken links, untestested software "patches" etc.
_IF_ you encounter some trojan, link-abuse, virus etc., please send a private mail to "Avax" AND "TDz". If none of them seems to be online, please try to send to "Alexpal" or "Torai". But please make sure before doing so that the problem really was relted to AvaxHome itself.
