| “ | Former model Sade made an immediate and huge impact with her 1984 debut album, Diamond Life. Her sound and approach were deliberately icy, her delivery and voice aloof, deadpan, and cold, and yet she became an instant sensation through such songs as "Smooth Operator" and "Your Love Is King," where the slick production and quasi-jazz backing seemed to register with audiences thinking they were hearing a jazz vocalist. | ” |

The first time I heard Smooth Operator on the radio in '84 I was driving across the everglades from Tampa heading for Miami in Florida at around midnight! So much for the memory. Thanks my friend, you made my day:-)
nice souvenir mojabe !!!
So it was you. I said to Bully, isnt that Mojabe driving in front of us? But he was deep down in one of his books about animals. He just dream about finding an unknown specie. Well, that was what i heard from your car: "Smooth Operator". Bullys old VW made so much noise so i didnt realy hear something at all.
More Sade to come...
Thanks again !!!
Nah, NOT the same as Serials's :-))
TNX Serial!!
@ Mojabe
"... I said to Bully, isnt that Mojabe driving in front of us?"
The only words I can remember rom those days were Serial's "WOW! Look at her" or "Ahh, isn't she horny" for about every chick we saw on that drive.
"But he was deep down in one of his books about animals."
Also worng. It was one of the many Norwegian porn magazines some suspect collected.
"Bullys old VW made so much noise so i didnt realy hear something at all"
No matter it was a Bentley, the noise mainly came from Serial who badly tried to play a six-string like Hendrix :-)
Well, that tour, i dont realy remember anything of it :-)))
