Having heard this release prior to the Anthology series, really spoiled them for me. The crossfades and edits from Anthology are VERY annoying. Here's a very interesting alternative of which the Anthology took at LOT of notice, every track is virtuall present thru the 3 Anthology Double CDs.

Enjoy and comment!!!

An excellent album. I managed at that time to get the pre release album from EMI. A pre anthology album.
A must have

@bonomau

Thanks, I'll check this out.
I bought the Vigotone releases "Another Sessions... Plus" and "Turn Me On Dead Man" when they first came out (cost me a bloody fortune!), I think these will be the same mixes as available on there.
Then again, they could be slightly different... yeah! Downloaded. lol

@ jspaceman: sorry to duplicate your collection, mate!! several of the boots i have upped are also original CDs and they were expensive as liquid gold, the suckers! but when you arrived home and played them... GOD! specially with the Mark Lewishon sessions book, it all made sense. un/fortunately, the barret tapes were used for COUNTLESS boots, but lucklily they are OUTSTANDING material taken from master sources, so you can't go wrong there. i'll be upping something quite different in a few hrs. will you be experienced? wink, wink! ;)

@bonomau

Seems we have quite a collection between us.
I have hundreds of Beatles bootlegs (all original CDs) and there are still some I don't have, this one being an example.

You'll have to let me know which ones you're going to be uploading and maybe you can take your pick out of all mine (probably best to ask if I have a certain one rather than me listing them all for you. lol)

No worries about duplicating material I already have, I like to have the various incarnations of bootlegs. An example of duplication would be my Get Back sets, I have the Thirty Days box set; The Twickenham Sessions, and the Get Back Journals - and a lot of tracks are duplicated, but it's nice to have them all. hehe

Also, with this one I don't mind the slightless as the track listing is different to my Vigotone release... and besides, anything Beatles I'll have!! lol.

Take care mate!

@ jspaceman: so it seems mate! we are beatle freaks and proud of the fact!!! there is very little that i want now, cause i am very selective and, sessions being the best recordings the beatles left to be unearthed, i have mainly sessions and master stuff, i have avoided audience concerts but have Hollywood Bowl and Buddokan as my benchmark, but i have been looking for the audio of featured on Anthology DVDs, where the beatles are playing "you can't do that" on the end of disc 3, i believe. i'd love to listen to any alternates and my favourite album is Abbey Road, then Sgt Pepper followed closely but the Rubber Soul/Revolver Duo, but I have very little from the White Album, so that might be a cool suggestion. Regardless, anything that we can contribute to Avax, I think every one else will appreciate.

My next upload will be John Lennon "Bermuda Shorts" which I enjoy very very much... but there's a non-Beatle related session upload coming shortly.

I was trying to extract Macca's "got any toothpics" and "hey tokyo" but all my 3 drives tell me there is no disc on the tray, so i had to let them rest.

Thanx mate!! I'm on to your Klatuu uploads, but i have so little time to devote to a good listen. DARN!

@bonomau and jspaceman: great work by both of you . . can I suggest more combined lossless/mp3 posts or just more mp3 please? Some of us have limited bandwidth, and let's face it - I'd rather hear a good boot in a lossy format than not at all. Too much Beatles is not enough! Any Badfinger boots would be very interesting if anyone has some.

@bonomau

"I have very little from the White Album"

Then perhaps I could upload "The White Album Sessions", a four disc set of all the best outtakes, alternate mixes and monitor mixes. :)

I too avoid audience concert recordings, I only have "soundboard" - such as the 2 disc Hollywood Bowl (complete shows, no edits), Live In Paris '65 and a few others I forget. lol

I've not got the Lennon "Bermuda Shorts", so that will be a real treat when you post it. Looking forward to that!

Enjoy the Klaatu albums when you get a chance to listen to them.
Take care mate.

@lochgoyle

"can I suggest more combined lossless/mp3 posts or just more mp3 please?"

As much as I hate lossy formats, this is actually a good idea to combine both lossless and lossy.
I'll certainly take this on board and I'll try to introduce it on my next posts and see what the feedback is like.

Thanks for the suggestion mate. :)

tracks 8, 13 and 18 seem to be corrupted

downloaded from rapidshare twice with the same result

thank you
Posted By: jspaceman Date: 13 Sep 2006 20:15:26
@dimadana

In what way do you think those tracks are corrupt?
I downloaded this album and I have no problems with it at all. I have just finished listening to the tracks you mentioned again and no problems with any of them.

Did you download all the parts again?
Posted By: dimadana Date: 13 Sep 2006 22:10:45
jspaceman
could you please post the files size to compare with mine?
Posted By: jspaceman Date: 13 Sep 2006 23:36:12
@dimadana

Sure, it won't be today though as I have a lot of other things I am uploading at the moment.

By the way, I checked a different track by mistake for track 18. After I realised my error I checked track 18 for you again and yes, there is some slight glitching on that track. It may well be on the original disc though, as this sometimes happens with bootlegs.
bonomau would be better to answer this for you.

I am happy to upload the other two though which seem fine for me, and if you want I can rip track 18 from another of my bootlegs that it appears on (it is on several other bootlegs that I own). Unless bonomau wants to upload them onto his RS account.

@jspaceman: mate, can you provide the exact minute/second where the glitch ocurrs? i'll check if i can rip it again without errors. EAC did not advise of any errors though. please pm me.
