Zwan Lake one of the 19th century's greatest musical talents, left a legacy as the composer of three phenomenal scores written specifically for the ballet. Zwan Lake (Opus 20, 1875) commissioned by the Moscow Opera, is one of the most famous ballets in the world. It has been said to be one of Tchaikovsky most proud accomplishments. The composer's emotionally charged works, swinging gloriously from the depths of despair to the heights of promising hope, provided the perfect platform for one of the most compelling ballets in history.

The original DVD/Audio format was converted from 6 channel 5.1 sound to high definition stereo wav, using the real time recorder option found in CDex Version 1.51 (freeware), and then encoded with Lame MP3 Encoder. The original DVD Audio recording was produced in 24 bit, 96 kHz. This recording is the standard 16 bit, 44 kHz and 256 kbps. As far as I am aware, this music has never been released on CD.

If you have a DVD player and 5.1 surround sound, the experience is well worth owning.
