Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab

Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL, or "MoFi") is a company that produces audiophile releases of classic CDs and vinyl records.

Many commercial CDs undergo dynamic range compression in order to sound "louder" when played on radio or low-end systems. Some consider this detrimental to the sound quality when reproduced on high-quality equipment. Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab releases are highly desirable due to their attention to detail concerning the audio mastering process. Some of the techniques used are half-speed mastering and pressing gold-plated CDs. MFSL also releases record albums meant to be played at 45 RPM instead of the standard 33? RPM, for better sound quality. These albums must be released on two or three discs, as less music can be held at increased speed.

MFSL only acquires the license to reproduce releases for a specific time period, and because of the limited quantities produced, they are highly sought after.

Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab's ongoing quest is to deliver the foremost sounding audio entertainment software that technological innovation can provide. From our first UHQR™ vinyl LP to our latest Ultradisc UHR™ SACD, we have been and will remain a steadfast innovator in the audiophile frontier. We further believe that technological development serves best when accompanied by a profound awareness and appreciation for the elusive magic and mystery that comprises music itself. Our greatest hope is that our products will serve as conduits for ears ands souls to experience premium, pure, natural sound reproduction of diverse, pre-eminent original master recordings across the entire musical spectrum

Thank you very much. Don't know if other members understand what great posting this is.

The first 4 albums albums of The Beatles were in Mono and later in Stereo on LP. On CD these orignals are not available from EMI in stereo at all. These MFSL albums are quite unique, not only for the Stereosound but also for their quality.

One more to go, Beatles for Sale and every Beatlesfan should be pleased.

Again thanks.

@tinusvans

You're welcome mate, and you're absolutely right about the original EMI releases being in mono (vinyl and CD) so these MFSL versions are unique in that they are stereo mixes.

Each of The Beatles album was released in MFSL so there is plenty more to come my friend :-)

@pippo.calo

I sympathise that it takes you a long time to get the files from Rapidshare, but I use a Premium Account to upload them to and so I am going to use that rather than upload them to another host.

jspaceman. . .
Last night while lieing(?) in my bed & listening to your previous post - Pleas pleas me, I've been thinking of the first time i've heard Beatles, I've been about 8 then, and the record was played on my parent's old deck player. I've only had two albums then, now I've got both again, only better. Thank You

Seeing comments like this makes it worthwhile taking the time to upload these albums.

I'm happy you are all getting pleasure from this.

Well, to be honest, I'll take all albums converted to MP3 on 1 CD with me on holiday this friday so the whole trip of 13 hours I can enjoy all albums of The Beatles in stereo except Beatles For Sale which is missing so far. Now please note my VERY BIG SMILE to speed up the posting for this album. :))))))))))))))))))))))) I can't show a smile than this one. :)))

@Everyone,

seems someone has got it in for me. All the files for this have been removed by RS due to "complaints".
I'll re-up soon.

As an old rocker from the 60's, and a Beatles fan from way back, I can't thank you enough for all these Beatles MFSL releases!!
My favourites were always Beatles for Sale and Revolver - any plans to release these ??
Thanks again

Great work, thank you very much. Listening to this old music is like a journey to the past, with some tunes there is a film running immediately that makes you remember what happened when you listened to the song 30 or 40 years ago, unbelievable.
