The first compilation showcasing Bombastic Jam's heavy roster, This Is How We Jam unleashes a tidal wave of fresh and funky nuggets for the as yet uninitiated. Jayl Funk's "Ab Aeterno" has a slow-groovin' live band feel, complete with popping basslines and some killer vox and drums breakdowns. BMD's "Funk Street" rides a classy clavinet riff, while DJ Wood's "Want To Dance" channels both Roger Troutman and go-go stars Trouble Funk for an early-80s electro feel. With raw, organic funk bombs from Fuzzbox Inc, Zamali and Andy Taylor amongst others, this is an excellent first comp from the Bombastic crew.
