Tom Waits - at the Old Grey Whistle Test (1977)

In early May 1977 Tom waits appeared in "The Old Grey Whistle Test" BBC TV show in London, UK. He performed Small Change and Tom Traubert's Blues beautifully as always.

Famous, and rightly so, as the only music programme of its generation to give airtime to obscure, unsigned and alternative bands/artists, "Old Grey Whistle Test" offered many now-famous faces their first 15 minutes of fame and introduced vast quantities of quality music to the record buying public.

Dedicated to Fa who shares the same pain with my wife.

I hope I can give you a more recent (2004) concert of Tom next week. In the mean time enjoy him at his drunken youth.
