The first thing you'll notice is the amount of acoustic music on this disc. A Baldwin Concert Grand is played by two distinguished pianists; and Steinway's ivory keys are tickled by three others. The three string section is represented by no less than nine different acoustic guitarists, six upright bassists, and that rarity of rarities, the jazz violin. Not to mention woodwinds, trumpet and a wide variety of exotic percussion yield a CD that will blow you mind with its diverse selection of instrumentalists.
