Tone2 Saurus VSTi v1.0 (Win/MacOSX) | 10.8 - 10 - 10.9 MB
Saurus takes the high regarded analog sound from the past into the unlimited digital realm, fusing them together with a user interface that invites to tweak and a multitude of unique sound sculpting tools exclusive to Saurus. All without placing heavy demands on your CPU or budget.
It has been the aim of developers the world over to bring the best “Virtual Analog” synths possible to re-create the sound of classic hardware.
However, unlike many competitors who sell 'Virtual Analog Synthesizers' which are at best mere approximations of what happens in the real world, we set out to create not just another synthesizer with character, but one that truly represents the sound of analog hardware.
We carefully measured and modeled the circuits of many classic performance synthesizers, even including single capacitors and resistors to provide an extremely accurate analog model, faithfully capturing the spirit and character of these old machines.

However - it will blacklist all other Tone2 products once installed.
Now -> using some advice from another website -> I installed it first time and it works - layered up with ElectraX and Gladiator!
First of all - disconnect your internet when installing this software...
What I did -> I manually added the installer / uninstaller / executable file and my VST host software to Windows Firewall.
You should also add this to your Hosts file...which will disallow the plugin from accessing Tone2!
(use Notepad to add these entries)
127.0.0.1 www.Tone2.com localhost
127.0.0.1 Tone2.com localhost
127.0.0.1 www.Tone2.net localhost
127.0.0.1 Tone2.net localhost
127.0.0.1 www.Tone2.co.uk localhost
127.0.0.1 Tone2.co.uk localhost
127.0.0.1 www.Tone2.com
127.0.0.1 Tone2.com
127.0.0.1 www.Tone2.net
127.0.0.1 Tone2.net
127.0.0.1 www.Tone2.co.uk
127.0.0.1 Tone2.co.uk
C:Windows\system32\drivers\hosts (hosts is a text file with no extension)...
Simply copy this file (Ctrl + drag somewhere onto your desktop).
Then -> add the Tone2 entries above to the host file...
(If you use Spybot S&D you will notice that this is how Spybot blacklists adware + malware sites)
Over-write your hosts file with the new one containing the Tone2 links (from above).
Everything should work perfectly.
If you screw it up -> you will end up with everything black listed!
Oh -> before running -> make sure you copy the keyfile to the same folder as the plugin.
Regards
Some great presets by BigTone are in there.
:-)
I have all the Tone2 stuff working at once!
Including a layered sound in FL Studio using Saurus, ElectraX and Gladiator creating a huge lead sound!!!
RIP Assign too! This is the best we've got so far.
Same thing happened with Air, H2O.
Basically - they crack hundreds of titles and people just complain and ask for more, more and more!
What do they actually get out of it? Nothing!
Just the satisfaction of cracking "impossible" protection schemes and a name for themselves!
They are probably bored too!
They have released thousands of plugins at this point.
How much more do owe actually need?
We've got Waves 9, NI Komplete 8, FL Studio + Imageline stuff, in fact we have access to 95% of the music software out there for free!
Add to this all the sample packs and expansions and it is fair to say that if you can't make a fantastic track at this point then another 100 plugins won't help you achieve that goal!
There are so many of us who just download the next VST for the sake of it. Just to collect them on our hard drives. Maybe we will use a couple of these synths regularly. But do we buy the ones we use?
Some do. Most do not.
