Thanks for the post. There are not too many programs that do this type of conversion, and I think I've tried most of them. If you are upasmpling from any of these formats to DVD, I find it a lot easier to work with Nero that does an excelent job and has more conversion options. What Nero can't do is downsample or convert to DivX.

Open Nero Vision, click on Make DVD->DVD Video, then select Add Video Files. If you want auto chapter creation, click on More button and check the corresponding box. Frome here on it is pretty much self explanatory with a bunch of options to chose from and customize your project (menus creation, video bit rate, etc). Good luck.
