Can someone explaine the keygen - it opens a DOS and seems to gen a 0 byte file with the name lmaXXXX - is there something else that should be going on in DOS?

You have to change hostid in aw.dat to yours and feed it file into keygen like this:
"aw_kg.exe aw.dat"
in shell window.
It will just generate new flexLM key and change given aw.dat, so you can then put it into c:flexlm.
Voila.

Or you can change aw.dat and simply drag-drop aw.dat onto aw_kg.exe in explorer window ;)

cenio > oh, the solution: i'm not sure if this is gonna help you, but you might have trouble with java if you don't have java installed on your computer (i'm almost sure i had to install java for my firefox externally too) - so you can download installation from here:

or at least, you can verify your java installation there. good luck

Here's a small description of my problem:
ionic69, I have the latest edition of Java (Version 1.5.0_04-b05) and Javascript enabled either on IE and Firefox.
g00ber, if I understand you mean I have to login before downloading. At this moment I've been login for posting here and I cannot see server's download link.
But no problem with dwnld links for ebooks.
I suppose masterguys on www.avaxhome.ws have different delivery servers for each categoty of stuff who were blocked by my Firewall's rules which I've made when unkwown servers tried to connect on my system core instead of connecting to my browser.

Problem I am having is, when I enter the password for the rars, 12345, I get a "wrong password error" in winrar, but anyway, it continious extracting but it keeps giving me all kind of errors. filesize for 1-6 is 45,899, 7file is 30,582.

Any help greatly appreciated!

How to active
1. Change aw.dat file

You can find your new number at Maya Regsitry Screen
(in Maya Screen this Number is 14 char, you must trim 2 char at begin)
Second Numer "00067b092308"
This is MAC address of your NetWorkCard
You can find your new Number by type "ipconfig /all" in Command

2. Run aw_kg.exe aw.dat
to make new listen file (change aw.dat)
3. Import this listen aw.dat

Скреб голову, неврубился не как, как зарегить прогу :) Пока искал в инете, решил попробовать самим простим образом, копируя МАК адрес, вставляя в этот дат файл, дат файл натаскивая на кейген.ехе, созданием папки c:flexlm и копируя дат файл туды.. далее запуск maya7 - все работает!

Тем временем открылась пага netz.ru, где описан процесс более многословно, однако что-то очень замороченно.. вот более короткий вариант:

1) Инсталируйте MAYA (myr_maya70_win.exe )
2) Идиём в start-->all programs-->Alias-->common utilities-->FlexLM license utilities
3) вкладке под system settings копируем Ethernet address
4) Открываем файл aw.dat Notepad'ом и заменяем HOSTID=... на скопированным Ethernet address-ом из FlexLM утилиты. Сохраните и закройте файл.
5) simply drag-drop aw.dat onto aw_kg.exe in explorer window - верно подмеченно и сработала - aw.dat натаскиваем на aw_kg.exe
6) Создаем папку c:flexlm и копируем теперь уже патченный aw.dat туда
7) запускаем саму прогу Maya 7.0 - откроется рабочее окно Maya...

Да, еще спасибо камраду mudvin :) - но не все знают что такое hostid... или пугающая строка из другого комента "Import this listen aw.dat"
Все гениально просто! Папка, МАК адрес, измененный файлик - и прога запускается без всяких там инсталяций лиценсий итп

А литературку бы на русском где можно достать.
Поделитесь пожалуста если не в падлу.

Не обязательно по 7 можно и по 6 версям. Желательно побольше уж больно мало всего нарыл по етой проге.

Uhmm...little more expanded:
1. "getmac.exe" - will give you hostids of all network devices in the system - you need only id of network card.
2. insert this 12-digit number(omitting dashes) into aw.dat instead of "your_hostid" string.
3. Drag aw.dat onto aw_kg.exe in explorer window, it will encode key into aw.dat.
4. Put resulting aw.dat into c:flexlm folder. If it's doesn't exist - create it.
That's all.

Password works just fine, i've rechecked it once again.

Plain English and how I did it

Put Maya on your computer

Go to Programs - Alias - Common Utitities - FlexLM License Utilities and open. Once open go to System Setting and there you will find your "Ethernet Address" write it down.

Open aw.dat notepad and change the numbers after HOSTID=000.... with your Ethernet Address

Now drag and drop the aw.dat file into the keygen (dont double click on it just drag and drop aw.dat on to it)

Make a new folder in your c drive and rename it flexlm then copy you new aw.dat file into it.

Open Maya

That is it or at least it worked for me.

My computer has no ethernet card,so in system settings the ethernet address is 000000000000. If I use this number in aw.dat and drug it on the keygen file the result aw.dat file is not a valid one for Maya 7.Can somone help???

I dont think you can use Maya if you not have an ethernet card. I remember couple a years ago when I did not have an ethernet address, I could not use Maya 5 that is until I put an ethernet card in my computer. So I guess you have to invest in one.
Small price compared to Maya itself.
