cFosSpeed, faster Internet access with Traffic Shaping

Perfect for online gamers!
Extended Traffic Shaping for DSL modems, cable modems & routers
Highly responsive when used with online games and filesharing (P2P) like eMule, Kazaa or Bittorrent
Minimal ping times for streaming audio & video, Voice over IP (VoIP), Internet Radio, etc.
Individual program prioritization

All I can say: it works and not only for games ...
before I had ~300 ko/sec on RS ...
after cFosSpeed installed and configured ~420 Ko/s

"casgoox" says:...
"The program works initially great."

And then?... does it work?...

it seems to work... web pages seem to load faster, local radar loads very fast now, chat rooms seem faster to connect... using a laptop with a 801g 54mbps connection with low signal, coming from a cable modem router... rapidshare download speeds reached a steady 480kb/sec when previously the best steady rate was around 190kb/sec??? who knows though, it could all be a delusion??

I'm using it now for month and can tell you that it works fine even in corporate network ;-)
Play with the settings accordingly to what you are using the most ... astonishing ...

Thanks a lot. :)

Hmm. How can it be possible??
It just doesn't make any logical sense that a connection/line speed can be increased by ANY software!! Not if the linespeed is running at around the MAX already then there is no way it can be increased without actually being given more speed from the provider!
Tell me I am wrong and I will eat my hat...

From the site:
'Switching to a rate plan that gives you higher connection speed is still the safest way to improve bandwidth and thus achieve better data transmission rates. This as such won?t improve ping times though. And neither will it prevent downloads from slowing dramatically, even stalling altogether, when data is being uploaded at the same time. That?s why it is ideal to combine any bandwidth upgrade with Traffic Shaping technology. '

Erm..Ok then, I stand corrected!
I must try this thing!!
