An excellent software driver backup/restore package. One of those, don't leave home without using it!

Please Note: an unknown individual posted an earlier version of Driver Genius today here on Avax, and this was jsut going to be a Comment update, but the posting is closed out.

Is this the copy of this version floating around that has the trialware with a 'crack' included. If Yes, it gives you most of the programs functionality, but if you save your drivers in the auto-loading 'exe' format, it still only installs your graphics card and network driver because the 'crack' doesn't affect the 'trial' installer app that creates this mode of backup. The 'portable' version of this app works properly, and you don't have to install it!

This version has the crack in a separate folder, which contains two files that you copy over to the install directoy:

DriverGenius.exe
Register.key

I have been using it since June 2006. When you backup your drivers,you should select under View, 'Backup All Drivers'. And it does work, having been through some reinstallations of the O/S and needed to get the drivers back in. I also use Driver Magician to do the same. And burn everything to a cd, along with a backup of the registry.

Again, this is not the trialware release and it is still the most current one.
