Cinéastes de notre temps: "François Truffaut ou l'esprit critique" [DVDrip - 2006]
1965 | Directed by Jean Pierre Chartier | 23 minutes | French (with embedded english subtitles) | 263 MB
Video: XviD, 1500 kbps, 624x480 | Audio: MP3, 128kbps, 44.1 khz

"In this 1965 documentary, François Truffaut, shown at home and in the screening room, comments on his films from Les Mistons to La Peau Douce, thus revealing the connection between his opinions as critic and his work as filmmaker. He speaks candidly about his past as movie buff, his collaboration with the Cahiers du Cinéma, those who have influenced him, and his admiration for American cinema"

There's apparently a longer version (64 min) of this documentary as seen on IMDB.
This is the version that appears on the 2006 criterion dvd of Truffaut's The 400 Blows.

Thank you very much !

More of this "Cinéastes de notre temps" serie would be welcomed. My first thought ould be for John Ford and Raoul Walsh, but there were many others...

Thanks a lot !

Me as well, I hope we'll see some more great posts from you. About problems with uploading to RS...I think we all have them - weather using their tool (RS uploader) or not, it blocks almost all the download bandwidth as well...so I leave it uploading when I go to bed.
