Deux hommes, exténués par les femmes, abandonnent tout pour aller s’installer dans un village perdu. Ils y rencontrent un curé truculent et soiffard qui les rappellent aux plaisirs simples de la vie. Bientôt, leur exemple inspire des milliers d’hommes et des cohortes de mâles déboussolés quittent alors les villes, fuyant l’hystérie féministe des années 1970. Mais bientôt arrive un escadron d’amazones nymphomanes.

(Two middle-aged victims of the war of the sexes, Paul and Albert (Jean-Pierre Marielle and Jean Rochefort) run away from their families at the same time. They indulge themselves by eating what they want to, when and where it pleases them. Trouble finds them in the form of their abandoned wives, and the film moves very much into the realm of symbolic and sexual fantasy from this point onward.)
