ECLIPSE SERIES 5: THE FIRST FILMS OF SAMUEL FULLER (The Criterion Collection) [3 DVDs] [2007]
THE BARON OF ARIZONA (1950) / I SHOT JESSE JAMES (1949) / THE STEEL HELMET (1951)
Art House | 1.33:1 OAR | B&W | English Dolby Digital 1.0 | English Subtitles | 262 min.
3 Full Original DVD Images (.ISO) | 300dpi HQ Scans + Booklets | 13.93 GBs | Netload/Rapidshare

His films have been called raw, outrageous, sensational, and daring. In four decades of directing, Samuel Fuller created a legendarily idiosyncratic oeuvre, examining U.S. history and mythmaking in westerns, film noirs, and war epics. And characteristically, it all began with a bang: after printing the legend with the elegant B-pictures I Shot Jesse James and The Baron of Arizona, he got himself into hot water with the FBI on The Steel Helmet, the first American movie to portray the Korean War. These three independent films showed off Fuller’s genre diversity, gutter wit, and subversive force, and pointed the way to a controversial career in studio moviemaking.

COLLECTOR'S SET INCLUDES

THE BARON OF ARIZONA, 1950 - 97 minutes
Vincent Price portrays legendary swindler James Addison Reavis, who in 1880 concocted an elaborate hoax to name himself the “Baron” of Arizona, and therefore inherit all the land in the state. Samuel Fuller adapts this tall tale to film with fleet, elegant storytelling and a sly sense of humor.

I SHOT JESSE JAMES, 1949 - 81 minutes
After years of crime reporting, screenwriting, and authoring pulp novels, Samuel Fuller made his directorial debut with the lonesome ballad of Robert Ford (played by Red River’s John Ireland), who fatally betrayed his friend, the notorious Jesse James.

THE STEEL HELMET, 1951 - 84 minutes
Despite its relatively low budget, this portrait of Korean War soldiers dealing with moral and racial identity crises remains one of Samuel Fuller’s most gripping, realistic depictions of the blood and guts of war, as well as a reflection of Fuller’s irreducible social conscience.

Please, re-upload part 8 of "I Shot Jesse James"! This is the message from Netload: This file was damaged by a hard-disc crash. We are trying to recover the file and it should be available within the next few days if we are successful.
Posted By: CerealRipper Date: 01 Apr 2009 01:23:03
I am upping again....

Just to let you know some jealous bitch is denouncing all my Netload links here at Avax, i wonder who's the bastard....
Posted By: lietuva Date: 01 Apr 2009 14:09:24
1. I am a guy.
2. If you don't trust me, you could check my claim.
3. I'm grateful and highly appreciating your effort.
4. In the meantime, your Netload posts are completly shot down.
Posted By: CerealRipper Date: 01 Apr 2009 16:21:39
I not talking about you! Please!! I trust you, i know my files are disappearing from Netload, it is just some bastard... there will be a mirror soon.
Posted By: JimB0ss Date: 01 Apr 2009 21:41:10
Yep, I second that -- part 8 is still missing.
Posted By: lietuva Date: 02 Apr 2009 20:42:36
CerealRipper, can you put this part 8 on rapidshare, please?
Posted By: DanseDePuck Date: 03 Apr 2009 01:19:05
Jeasus Christ Almighty! I AM A WOMAN.... but who can be so mean and bitchy as to do something so treacherous with CLASSIC CINEMA which is a MUST in anyone's library if he/she consider themselves a collector... I am DISGUSTED, to put it mildly. It happened to someone about a year ago in the Classical Music section because he was uploading such fantastic stuff.... That it turned their "jealousy" button on.

Just a suggestion: When you upload, do so in CODE names.... don't say what it is on netload... put numbers and letters for the file name... You have incredible great taste and I personally DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU... so if you start posting elsewhere, send me PM OK?

@lietuva

It doesn't fit there, rapidshare has a limit of 200mb, but it is going to megaupload, just wait a little bit, this weekend it will be solved.

@DanseDePuck

I won't leave avax, i like it here, i have been downloading book here for years, so if i don't go back to torrents i should stay around. Thanks for your kind comment and for the tips. I started doing things like that now.

Thank you, thank you!

Megashares is quite good i agree with you, i have a premium and it is the cheapest one. The problem is the SLOT LIMITS to free users, most people won't be able to download anything for free. I never could download anything for free, then i got the passport.... It is fast and quite reliable indeed.

I tried uploading this part to Netload more than 5 times, but it is always giving me an error, probably something like rapidshare Black Listed thing. I'll try one more time, but it is going to Megaupload anyway. The rapidshare version (NOT MIRROR) will be ready also.

Many thanks for those untouched dvds, CerealRipper- Samuel Fuller is one of my favourite directors ever- so this is a fantastic share for me;) And netfolder works quite good too- the speeds are not bad- the only thing is that their HD crashes constantly and some files gets lost. (are they not using a couple of servers or what- like others?) Sad that I shot Jesse James part 8 is lost too- if You can please reupload it somewhere- so that we can enjoy this excellent western- thanks a lot one more time for all Your efforts;)

Posted By: scalisto Date: 05 Jun 2009 15:04:28
Thanks a lot, CR!
Posted By: scalisto Date: 06 Jun 2009 13:43:37
@CR: parts 18, 20 and 28 in ECL024 (your RS upload) have corrupt headers and there's no recovery record to fix them. Since it is an .iso, the "Keep broken files" option is also out of the question. Could you kindly reupload them? TIA.
Posted By: CerealRipper Date: 06 Jun 2009 16:13:52
1- Your claim was checked, verified, and confirmed!

2- Files were re-uploaded, get the new ones from the new text file (list of links) posted above.

3- For fast verification send a PM also next time.

4- Recovery Record is nothing but a waste of bandwidth...

Best,
CR

Worked like a charm! My gratitude to you, CR!
As for the recovery record, it definitely is a waste if you have a phat pipe for your uploads. In my case, the choice is between the five minutes it takes me to explain to a n00b how to use the function, and the 60 minutes it takes me to upload a 100 MB .rar.

Hi, the Netload file tboa-ecl.part07.rar for The Baron of Arizona is down (it says it was damaged in a hard-disc crash).

Forget about netload, get it from rapidshare. Beware they are not interchangeable!

Rapidshare txt don't work either.
