Lola Montès is a visually ravishing, narratively daring dramatization of the life of the notorious courtesan and showgirl, played by Martine Carol. With his customary cinematographic flourish and, for the first time, vibrant color, Max Ophuls charts the course of Montès’s scandalous past through the invocations of the bombastic ringmaster (Peter Ustinov) of the American circus where she has ended up performing. Ophuls’s final film, Lola Montès is at once a magnificent romantic melodrama, a meditation on the lurid fascination with celebrity, and a one-of-a-kind movie spectacle.

Only the subtitles for the extras are missing, but you stated that above.
Thanks for this gorgeous upload a thousend times!

@all: With VLC-Player (videolan) i can see the subtitles, but my pc isn't fast enough for
a 1080 on VLC. On Media Player Classic Homecinema it rans smooth but i can't see
the subtitle. Can anybody help me with this problem with MPC?

Hmm. Have you tried installing CCC codec pack? I've stopped using klite codec pack. It is common problem for PC with slow processor to be unable to run 1080p (with high bitrate) smoothly. Regarding the subtitle, you should be able to view it, unless there's a problem with your vobsubs, or the subs are not muxed together and have different filename. Anyway, there is always a chance that it is hidden by default. In which case, you can try to right click the screen, go to navigate, and go to subtitle language, and click the english subs.

To cinefile:

I've already got the main film. But not the extras. Can you upload the extras separately??

If it is not too much of a thing, of course.

I've found a solution on the web. You have to check the "VMR9(Renderless)**" (View > Options > Playback > Output ) and start MPC again. And everything is fine. But of course you need a CPU which runs fast enough for a 1080p in MPC.

I agree with bpesti, there is ways to have this same Rip with an excellent quality without such a big file. It's a no-sense to post Rip's that can't play on any PC. If you are going to post such kind of Rip's, is better to post the original BD. Both will need to have very fast processors to play them smoothly on a PC (or it should be watched on a HDTV and using a BD player). Otherwise, a 2 Mbps AVI file -very good image quality- will play perfectly with any PC having only a decent processor, with the additional advantage of being smaller -much smaller!- than 11 GB.
