Quelque part dans le nord de la France. Face à face en rase campagne, deux voisins. Un ouvrier agricole, un télétravailleur, exploités dans leur travail et dans leur vie. Ils se dérangent et se détestent. Une violente dispute, une benne agricole qui leur écrase les jambes. Paralysés, ils sortent de l'hôpital en chaises roulantes. Après réflexion, chacun renonce au suicide et ils se retrouvent par hasard sur le quai de la gare. Voisins malgré eux, encore. Commence alors pour eux un voyage improbable et atypique à travers l'Europe, pour réclamer des indemnités au constructeur du matériel agricole qui se trouve en Finlande. Au gré de leurs rencontres, mésaventures et coup d'éclat, ces deux hommes vont vivre un véritable parcours initiatique : la découverte de son voisin...
Somewhere in the North of France, in the middle of nowhere, two neighbors live opposite each other. One is a farmer, the other a teleworker. They're both exploited in their jobs and in their lives. They get on each other's nerves and share a mutual hatred for each other. A violent argument leads to a bad accident: their legs are crushed by a farm tractor. They're both paralyzed and exit from hospital in wheelchairs. Both renounce the idea of suicide and then meet accidentally on a train station platform. They're still neighbors, despite their better instincts. And so begins an improbable and unusual journey across Europe as they set out to demand compensation from the tractor's manufacturer who is based in Finland. The encounters, misadventures and arguments along the way prove to be a true journey of discovery for the two men - they get to know their neighbor!
