A Dog's Breakfast (2007)

I had the pleasure to see the special screening in LA back in November, and I was pleasantly surprised. I thought this would be a so-so vanity project for an actor (David Hewlett), but this is one of the best comedies on film. I want to see it again because I missed bits as the laughter was so loud - and virtually continuous. It is absolutely brilliant. A Dog's Breakfast *deserves* a wide release. It's a sleeper that will make a ton of money by word of mouth. Unfortunately, I think Hollywood is allergic to intelligent films. Think "Napoleon Dynamite" but better, oh Hollywood machine!

I'm having some problems putting these files together. Winrar doesn't recognize them, winzip even less, can't join them either. How does one put these files back together again? Would be a pity to miss out on such a great post. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

You need to download HJSplit free from the net - just search for it. Open the program and select join, point it to the first of the downloaded links and it will do the rest.

I just get files labeled "Fragment". They join fine with hsplit but only give about a minute and a half intro to the movie.

Thanks for the help guy, but it still doesn't work. HJSplit successfully joins the first file and nothing more.Problem is still there. Which brings me to the all too natural question: what was wrong with winrar in the first place?

Haven't downloaded it yet, but if HJSplit did not produced a proper avi then it is most likely a rar file. RAR will not recognize these extensions so what you have to do is:
1. Open win rar
2. Select the .001 file from whithin winrar
3. Use the winrar menu to Extract the file

tks, budha, much appreciated you took the time to help. However, that didn't work either. Winrar gives the message that it found no archives in selected files or folders.

HJsplit works fine.
