Lillian Hellman's story of accused lesbianism in a girls' school is filmed by William Wyler (who also made the 1937 adaptation/revision, "These Three"). This adaptation is by L. Hellman and the script is by John Michael Hayes.

The film has gotten some very mixed reviews over the years. I include some in the download files -- which you may wish to peruse before or after viewing. I suggest afterwards, and for my money this is a fine film. The script and direction merit a B at least, and Shirley McClaine in particular turns in a superior performance.
