Assault Jack The Ripper (1976)

“Assault Jack The Ripper” is an exploitation film which was released during the period of what is called as The Nikkatsu Roman Porno era ; 1971 – 1982 (source :Wikipedia). It is part of a genre known as Pinku eiga (Pink film) , a style of Japanese film which incorporate softcore pornographic-like feature into theatrical film, that started in the early 1960s. During The Nikkatsu Roman Porno era. major studios started to blend in torture/violence element into the Pinku eiga , resulted in a sub-genre Pinky Violence , a pink film that uses eroticism in conjunction with violent and action-filled stories …… and this is one of them. Tamaki Katsura (nominated as Best Actress by the Japanese Academy for her role here) and Yutaka Hayashi star as a young couple whose increasingly kinky sex games lead them to slice and dice a number of young women with a cake-knife, starting a citywide panic. VLC Media Player:
1. Keep all the files (.avi, .sub & .idx) in the same folder
2. Play normally with VLC media player , go to VIDEO on top of VLC and choose SUBTITLE TRACK at the dropdown menu and select the appropriate subtitle .

ConverXtoDVD:
1. “Add” the .AVI file from the movie folder into the ConvertXtoDVD (the .IDX and .SUB file extensions should follow automatically providing all of them have the same exact file name). For non techie : FILE-NAME.FILE-EXTENSION
2. “Convert” and “Burn” normally
3. Use the button on your DVD or the remote control to select the appropriate subtitle for your viewing.
