The debut feature from the great Andrei Tarkovsky, Ivan’s Childhood is an evocative, poetic journey through the shadows and shards of one boy’s war-torn youth. Moving back and forth between the traumatic realities of WWII and the serene moments of family life before the conflict began, Tarkovsky’s film remains one of the most jarring and unforgettable depictions of the impact of violence on children in wartime.

the transfer itself is IMO one of the best criterion has ever done.
recommendation: get it while it's hot.
thank you!
Can the next one be Berlin Alexanderplatz??
Thanks.
Tarkovsky is my favorite.
cheers,
Dorin
I've been checking your blog on a daily basis in the last few months, and every day you surprise us with these treasures!!
BTW, could we hope for some Criterion BR's in the forthcoming future? I know I am asking way too much, but it would really be the cheese on the cake!
Thanks again for your sharing with us,
Carmine
Criterion rules (SD or BD, it doesn't matter!!)
God bless you!
What about compressed BRs, in a mkv file of 10Go (or perhaps 15Go)?
From what I have seen, the result is still superb.
@CerealRipper
You're right. Recordable BR is not cheap, in fact it is damn expensive! In my country at least. Not to mention it would take me many, many days just to download a BD50 size.
@8140david
Unfortunately, there isn't much of a compressed Criterion BR around, aren't they? And I think these can be obtained somewhere else...
Keep on going with the Criterions!! Keep on going with the FULL DVDs!!
Thanks, CR!
